Posterior sternoclavicular dislocations are a rare injury in the sport of American Football. Due to underlying structures, this injury is considered a medical emergency and prompt action is needed in order to avoid catastrophic results. After the initial injure, rehabilitation consist of mostly aerobic activity followed by range of motion and strengthening exercises. With careful monitoring and proper treatment, an American Football player can make a full recover without any serious complications within 8 weeks post-injury
