Managing food allergies in schools has become a critical strategy for ensuring the health and safety of students. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention\u27s (CDC) Voluntary Guidelines for Managing Food Allergies in Schools and Early Care and Education Programs (CDC, 2013) provides schools with important guidance for this complicated task. The CDC developed a food allergy guidelines toolkit for schools to bring the contents of the guidelines to priority school audiences in easily accessible and relevant formats.
