Current protocols on reinforced concrete bridge decks are not sufficient in detecting onset concrete delamination. The objective of this research project is to test multiple specimens of rebar concrete with ultrasonic equipment to determine if this methodology will improve detection of onset delamination. Each of the specimens tested in the experiment had varying levels of corrosion in order to diversify and better understand the behavior of concrete delamination.
