Recent research has investigated a measurable way to determine an individual\u27s motivation to lead in social situations by looking at specific aspects of an individual that make up his/her leadership ability and experience. The MTL (Motivation to Lead) construct is referred to as an individual differences construct that measures a person\u27s motivation to acquire a leadership position based on specific personality traits and values (Chan & Drasgow, 2002).
