The poster pictorially describes the ROOTS WITH WINGS: Floyd County, Virginia Place-based Education Oral History Project, in which Radford University students and faculty, Floyd County High School teachers, and volunteers from the Floyd Story Center, a non-profit organization, teach high school students how to interview community elders. Photos display the stages of the process, from learning to interview to making movies. Statistics enumerate the products of the Project’s ten-year history: audio and video recordings, transcripts, content logs, photos, archival scans, and movies. Quotes from participants offer insight into the Project’s outcomes
