This paper explores the current approaches to preventing and intervening in intimate partner violence [IPV] as understood by a sampling of the staff at two different organizations focused on IPV and located in Texas’ Travis and Williamson counties. The author interviewed four people and surveyed eighteen individuals via an online survey. The findings focus on the staff’s understanding of the conceptualization, application, and assessment of their approaches to IPV and discuss the political links, shifts in understanding, and areas of growth the staff identified.
