This nonfiction piece details specific moments experienced by the author while studying abroad on the Marshall University sponsored trip to Florence, Italy in May and June of 2016. It looks at the struggles of studying abroad such as homesickness and dealing with cultural customs outside of one’s comfort zone as well as the moments of pure awe and happiness that occur when experiencing Florence and the surrounding area.
