Resettling in a new world as refugees from Southeast Asia, the Hmong have faced many issues as they have built their new lives in the United States. For over 35 years, the Hmong have scattered throughout the United States for various reasons: education, economic gains, and family. This study explored a major issue facing the Hmong community, divorce. In particular, the study explored the life experiences and perceptions of divorced Hmong women amongst themselves and in their communities.
