Bruce Alan Polizotto was born in Gary, Indiana. After graduating from that city’s Lew Wallace High School (1959), he enrolled at Wabash College in Crawfordsville, Indiana. Wabash awarded him an A.B. degree in English (Phi Beta Kappa, Cum Laude) in 1963. After spending a year as the Wabash College News Bureau Director, Polizotto enrolled at the Indiana University School of Law in 1964. While in law school he served first as Notes editor of the Indiana Law Journal (v.41), and then as Assistant Editor-in-Chief (v.42).
