This symposium featured discussions on how the Fourteenth Amendment came to be and the influence of that history today. Presenters explored a variety of questions including: how the early cases of the Supreme Court are used today by modern courts; what the Court\u27s first three cases tell us about the amendment and the Court; what drafting choices the 39th Congress made and why; how Section 3 of the amendment was used and what the potential is for its continuing use; and how the citizenship clause changed African-American discourse.https://ideaexchange.uakron.edu/conlawakronslide/1001/thumbnail.jp
