Palliative care is a holistic approach to care for individuals with serious or terminal illnesses. Palliative care has been shown to be especially beneficial for individuals with a cancer diagnosis. With the incidence of cancer in the United States on the rise, palliative care is a relevant and valuable service. The team that delivers palliative care is multidisciplinary and includes a variety of healthcare providers as well as professionals for emotional and spiritual support.
