An assessment of the status of primate conservation education efforts around the world. The extent to which these programs’ effectiveness has been evaluated scientifically, objectively, and critically has only relatively recently been examined. What are the learning outcomes of these programs? Is the primate conservation community making a difference? The presence of pre-tests and post-tests, data quality, the use of control groups, consideration of confounding variables, assessment of changes in subject behavior, and assessment of the study species itself post-program are examined within the primate conservation education literature
