This project looks critically at the economic theories surrounding transportation provision, the history of federal policy and funding, and current transportation trends in America\u27s urban centers. Ultimately, a land tax is proposed as a way to address funding shortfalls, perverse economic incentives, and land use patterns to improve America\u27s transportation options and infrastructure
