Diffuse reflectance spectra, 400-800 nm, were determined on minerals, goethite, hematite, ilmenite, olivine, hypersthene, labradorite, garnet, hornblende, augite ; and rocks : andesite, basaltic glass, obsidian, basalt, rhyolite, ignimbrite, eclogite, peridotite and anorthosite. These spectra allow to give a quantitative expression of the colour of each sample, following the International Commission on Illumination system.
