Natural frame, habitat and graphic space : directed toa contextual vision of the solutreans’ art. The complex techno-economical system of solutrean hunter-collector societies has benefited for some twenty years from the contribution of technologic prospecting conducted on bone and lithic equipment within a precise contextual frame establishing regional identities in a geocultural area, the limits of which become more precise. That is why it has made possible today to aim the study of graphic manifestations of theses groups to the positioning of a referential frame that could be the equivalent of subdivisions obtained at the Parpallô site (Valencia) considering both technical and cultural prospects from lower Solutrean to solutreo-gravetian. The target consists in working out a “behavioural model” from archaeological remains offering a “symbolical” disposition and so, try to define the specificities of one or more human groups who producted this art among habitats and settlements. In other words, the matter is to apprehend the inhabited space throughs the symbolical expressions of social organizations. This way of tr ans disciplinarian research is essential to the cultural caracterization of palaeolithic art. This last one is considered from now on not only by the general concept of “style ”, which grants art on apparent unity within a large evolutive vision, not being aware of the increasing process of regionalization, but also by the integration of the works to cultures determined by techno-economical systems generating original particularities. All things considered, connection between art and society tend to abolish the established partitioning and to strengthen the technocultural identity of every groups. From now on it will be made reference to the solutreans s art instead of a Solutrean art, terms issued from A. Leroi-Gourhan stylistic frame in 1965.Le système techno-économique des sociétés de chasseurs-collecteurs du Solutréen bénéficie, depuis une vingtaine d’années, de l’apport de recherches technologiques menées sur l’outillage lithique et osseux. A la lueur de ces nouvelles données, peuvent être envisagées de véritables identités régionales, dans une aire géoculturelle dont les limites se précisent. Il est alors possible, en prenant compte des vestiges archéologiques à caractère “ symbolique ”, de mieux définir les spécificités du (ou des) groupe(s) humain(s) ayant produit cet art au sein des habitats et des territoires. L’objectif est la mise en place d’un cadre référentiel précis, qui soit l’équivalent des subdivisions obtenues au Parpallô (Valencia) dans la double perspective technique et culturelle, depuis le Solutréen inférieur jusqu’au Solutréo-Gravettien. La pertinence de cette dimension contextuelle est largement démontrée et s’avère indispensable à la mise en place d’enquêtes contribuant à dégager des procédés graphiques et des stratégies ou solutions technologiques originales. Elle pose les bases d’une réflexion sur l’existence de contacts interrégionaux, de relations d’échanges entre les groupes solutréens de ces divers territoires, comme des limites entre des groupes très proches dans le temps et dans l’espace. C’est ainsi que l’on parlera dorénavant d’un art des Solutréens, plutôt que d’un art solutréen issu du cadre stylistique établi par Leroi-Gourhan (1965).Tymula Sophie.
