A GIS-aided analysis of archaeological, planimetric and historical data of the town of Issoudun has revealed different phases in its formation between protohistory and the 13th century. It shows that the main thoroughfares and crossroads shifted between Antiquity and the early Middle Ages. The study also revealed the “ Ville Neuve ”, mentioned in writings in 1137, in the parcel plan.
