Le genre Paramuzoa Roth, 1973 : sa répartition et un cas de xylophagie chez les Nyctiborinae (Dictyoptera, Blattaria)

Two new species of the genus Paramuzoa Roth, 1973 are described from french Guiana and from south Brazil, both assessing the presence of the genus in Guyanese amazonian forest and in atlantic coastal forest. The breeding of a female and a larva and the examination of guts of three individuals reveal the xylophagous habits of the Guyanese species. Xylophagy appearance in cockroaches is hypothesized to be more common than usually considered.Deux nouvelles espèces du genre Paramuzoa Roth, 1973 sont décrites de Guyane française et du Sud du Brésil, attestant de la présence du genre dans les forêts d'Amazonie guyanaise et de la côte atlantique du Brésil. L'élevage d'une femelle et d'une larve et l'examen du tube digestif de trois individus ont permis de découvrir que l'espèce guyanaise est xylophage. La xylophagie apparaîtrait plus commune chez les Blattes qu'il n'est considéré d'ordinaire.Grandcolas Philippe.
