The biology of L. destefanii has been studied during one of its annual cycle in an olive plantation (Chemlal variety) in the region of Cap Djinet, Algeria. Egg-laying starts in March and continues over three months. There is only one generation a year, and wintering takes place at the stage of fertilized females.
