Analisis Karakteristik dan Tingkat Pelayanan Fasilitas Pejalan Kaki di Pasar Gede Surakarta dengan Pendekatan Metode Greenshields

Pedestrian is one system of various types of transportation systems, in a system it will always affect each other. If a system is interrupted, the result is not only felt by the system concerned but will also affect other systems. Basically the performance of traffic pedestrians are expressed in a way that is similar to the expression of vehicle traffic performance, which is interconnected with flow, speed and density. In this study carried out in Surakarta Gede Market Area. The purpose of the study was to find out the characteristics of pedestrians (current, speed, density), to know the relationship between pedestrian movement variables and maximum variable values and to know the capacity and level of pedestrian service. The research method in this study uses survey methods and analytical methods. The survey method is by using manual techniques in observing and retrieving data in the field. From the results of the survey in the field, data were obtained on the number of pedestrians and the travel time of pedestrians. While the analytical method is using the Greenshields. The analysis results show that the max variable is as follows, Dm = 0.096 ped / m2, Vm = 38,921 m / min, Qm = 1,076 ped / min / m. According to John Fruin, a pedestrian facility planning standard in urban areas at service levels B and C, this means pedestrian facilities on foot in Pasar Gede Surakarta still meet planning standards, and are still able to accommodate the number of pedestrians available.
