EGG HAUGH UNIT PRODUCED BY LAYING HEN IN IMPLICATION OF SAMBILOTO EXTRACT (Andrographis paniculata) AGAINST Avian Pathogenic Escherichia coli

The egg is the organic vessel containing the zygote in which an embryo develops until it can survive on its own at which point the animal hatches. An egg results from fertilization of an egg cell. The Haugh unit (HU) is quality albumen which is measured based on height albumen and egg weight. HU is a unit which gives correlation between white height egg with egg weight. This study research aims to determine the haugh unit production of egg quality from the laying hens infected by Avian Pathogenic Escherichia coli (APEC) with the implication of sambiloto extract (Andrographis paniculata). There were total of 20 laying hens used divided into 5 treatments with respectively 4 repetitions each . 20 laying hens were necropted to see the bacterial infection of Escherichia coli. The plan used in this study is a Completely Randomized Design (CRD). The data obtained were analyzed using variance analysis method ANOVA.
