Ecology and ethnopharmacology in human health

Introduction. WHO deals with the problem of humanity health improvement; investigates the impact of negative environmental factors and rational consumption of vegetable products on illnesses prevention. One way of the solution to this problem is complex interdisciplinary ethnopharmacological research which involves the following scientific areas: anthropology, pharmacognosy, pharmacology, pharmaceutical biology, chemistry of vegetable products, toxicology, clinical research, ethnobotany, vegetables physiology, ecology, economics, linguistics, etc. in the cultural context of different countries [1, 2, 5, 7]. Materials and Methods. The methodology of this report, the results are analyzed and summarized using the electronic data base of scientific literature: MEDLINE, the plant list [1, 3, 5]. Results and discussion. Dealing with the problem of human physical and mental health improvement in the area of ethnopharmacological research, different continents can distinguish typical promising medical plants and their quality, secure and effective products. In Lithuania ethnobotanical and ethnopharmacological data has been collected since the 19th century. This data needs to be analyzed, summarized and presented in resources of scientific literature [1, 2, 4, 5, 7]. Conclusion.
