Introduction: Pain is a symptom of difficult assessment and management, especially in the pediatric population. The use of PROMs tools (measures of results reported by patients) have been shown to be a significant resource in the evaluation of this symptom and its impact on the quality of life of these patients. From the PROMs concept, the Patient-Reported Outcome Measurement System (PROMIS), a multidimensional instrument that assesses the interference of pain in the daily activities of children and adolescents, was developed.
