Add to ORKGThe process of holographic image enhancement was investigated with respect to image quality. A maximum improvement in MTF of 60% was achieved. The process itself was found difficult due to the critical natures of many of its steps. The theory of image enhancement by optical processing is explained in detail and the reasons for using a holographic filter are discussed
