Five high contrast (greater than 100:1) reflection test targets were investigated. The taregts were: (1) USAF 1951, (2) NBS Microcopy, (3) DIN German Standard, (4) RIT, and (5) a Hexagonal test target. The targets .were photo graphed at a reduction of 21X using a microcopying camera. Evaluation of resolving powers was made by the two research partners; independently. Analysis of the resultant data involved\u27 a comparison of resolving power averages and variations for each target type.
