En Freedom and Resentment, Peter F. Strawson ha ofrecido una sólida argumentación en contra de la posibilidad de aceptar cabalmente una doctrina determinista y de que dicha aceptación se traduzca en una modificación de nuestras actitudes hacia los demás. Nuestro objetivo consistirá en ofrecer un análisis de la solución estoica al problema de la actitud hacia los otros en un cosmos regido por la necesidad.
