Physical exercise (PE) is essential for promoting lifelong health and well-being and preventing a variety of diseases, including central nervous system (CNS) diseases. For example, PE plays a key role in the prevention and/or treatment of substance abuse disorders, including methamphetamine (METH) misuse. METH is an addictive psychostimulant, which is sought because it produces effects such as euphoria, and increased energy.
