International audienceAlthough space is increasingly mobilised as a strategic resource, there are few studies about the consequences of the new spatial configurations. This article provides a review of different conceptions of space in management sciences. In order to establish a first overview of phenomena that can be observed during spatial transformations, twelve cases have been studied. It reveals that standards are emerging, as gathering, open and flexible spaces. These standards are deeply related to the main conceptions of spatial resource, but they cannot plan work processes efficiently nor prevent the occurrence of undesired effects.
