ANALISIS PENYELESAIAN MASALAH MATEMATIKA SISWA SMP MUHAMMADIYAH 1 KOTA MALANG MELALUI PENDEKATAN POLYA

The purpose of this study is to analyze the pross solving problem solving through Polya approach. The type of research conducted is qualitative descriptive. The place of study is in SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Kota Malang with the object of research 6 students of class VIII. The method used to obtain data by using the test of story and interview. The data obtained were analyzed descriptively qualitative to analyze problem solving done by students referring to Polya approach. The results obtained in this study is a step to understand the group of students with low, medium and high ability are included in either category. The planning step for the low-ability students group is categorized as less, while in the medium and high groups it is a good category. Steps to implement in a group of low-ability students are included in less categories, then the group of medium-skilled students is sufficient and good category for high-ability students. Re-checking steps for low-skilled group of students included in the less and sufficient categories of moderate-ability students. Furthermore, the group of highly skilled students is a good category
