The present dissertation has been accomplished within the scope of the Post-Graduation Program in Science and Mathematics Teaching of the Federal University of Pelotas (UFPel), and it is part of the History of Mathematics Education area. Its main objectives are to produce and analyze historical sources from narratives developed in situations of interviews that deal with the Mathematics formation, on the Teaching Course of Assis Brasil Education Institute, during the period from 1955 to 1968.
