Geographical approach to new competitive agglomerations in Rio Grande do Sul: Technological Parks

In a world where there are frequent transformations, Geography is in constant observation regarding its object of study, and the theme of the economy of the XXI century, is an analytical bias of great value to understand the directions of our society. The technological parks are a materialization of this process, they allow research and development (R&D) to develop to generate innovation, from the synergy formed by the tripod, government, academia and companies. When they materialize they form territories that compose the new economy and their study allows to unveil the Technical Scientific-Informational Medium. Rio Grande do Sul did not break the rule, and has been building parks all over the country, in 2018, counted 14 units, in several phases, and with several emphases. Instigated by the relation territory, resources and parks, the research seeks to answer the following question: Is there a relationship between the location of the parks and their success? For such are references authors such as Santos, Castells, Veltz, among others. The research has a quantitative basis, with the use of Survey with park managers, analysis of sites of parks and finally, treatment and analysis of indicators of Science and Technology. As a result of the research there is a positive result between the location of the parks and their success, although this deserves considerations that will be present in the dissertation; an x-ray of parks in 2018; and a verification of its distribution by the state with a suggestion of reassessment about its stages of development.Sem bolsaEm um mundo, onde ocorrem frequentes transformações, cabe a Geografia estar em constante observação quanto ao seu objeto de estudo. O tema da economia do século XXI é um viés analítico de grande valia para entender os rumos de nossa sociedade. Os parques tecnológicos, objeto de análise desta dissertação são uma materialização deste processo, pois permitem que a pesquisa e desenvolvimento (P&D) progridam gerando inovação, a partir da sinergia formada pelo tripé, governo, academia e empresas. Ao se materializarem formam territórios que compõem a nova economia e seu estudo permite desvelar o Meio Técnico Científico-Informacional. O Rio Grande do Sul não fugiu a regra, e vem construindo parques por todo território, em 2018, contabilizavam 14 unidades, em diversas fases de implementação, e com várias ênfases. Instigada pela relação território, recursos que dispõe e os parques, a pesquisa busca responder a seguinte questão: Existe relação entre a localização dos parques e seu sucesso? Para tanto, levamos em consideração referências como Santos, Castells, Veltz, entre outros.A investigação tem caráter quanti-qualitativa, com uso de Survey junto aos gestores dos parques, análise dos sites dos parques e por fim, tratamento e análise de indicadores de Ciência e Tecnologia. A pesquisa demonstra um resultado positivo na relação localização dos parques e seu sucesso, ainda que isto mereça considerações que estarão presentes na dissertação; conta com uma radiografia dos parques em 2018; e uma verificação da sua distribuição pelo estado com sugestões de reavaliação sobre suas fases de desenvolvimento
