Geomorphologycal mapping of the influence área of the Sul-Riograndense Shell in the city of Pelotas/RS

The science that has the relief as its object of study is the Geomorphology. It can be studied in many ways, including the geomorphological mapping, from which can be provided diagnostics and ambiental prognostics. The geomorphological mapping is the objective of this research, which is directed to the influence área of the Sul-Riograndense Shell in the city of Pelotas/RS. To the elaboration of this essay, stand out as theoretical and methodological basement, authors as Ab‟Saber (1969), Ross (1992, 2014), Florenzano (2008) and Rehbein (2011). The outlines of the relief features of the Sul-Riograndense Shell area of influence in the city of Pelotas were made; also the characterization of morphogenetic and morphocronological data; the characterization and cartographic representation of morphological data (morphometric and morphographic) and the characterization of relief‟s morphodynamic. In order to meet the outstanding objectives, were realized bibliographical reviews to understand the relief‟s genetic-evolutionary framework of the study area.Also includes the organization of a database of base cartography, necessary for the preparation of cartographic products, as well as the preparation of the map of use and land coverage. Finally, through field work, were identified and characterized the morphodynamics of the relief. Therefore, it was found that standarts on hills and alveolar plains predominate in this area of studies, also standing out the mapping of 1587 drainage headboards. One relevant aspect to highlight is the occuring of laminar erosion on the hills and hillocks, predominantly. There was also the siltation of river channels as a result of slope down riverbanks, devoid of riparian vegetation. Lastly, this research is considerated a resource to alert the local community about the ambiental impacts that surround them, besides servins as basis for planning politics. In addition, it is expected from that research – by its produced products – that it contributes to educational establishments in the city of Pelotas and region, providing more detailed information about the local geomorphology.Sem bolsaCiência que tem como objeto de estudo o relevo é a Geomorfologia. Ela pode ser estudada de muitas formas e fins, entre os quais, pelo mapeamento geomorfológico, a partir do qual podem ser apresentados diagnósticos e prognósticos ambientais. O mapeamento geomorfológico é o objetivo da presente pesquisa, direcionada para área de influência do Escudo Sul-Rio-Grandense no município de Pelotas/RS. Para elaboração da pesquisa, destacam-se enquanto embasamento teórico-metodológico, autores como Ab‟ Saber (1969), Ross (1992; 2014), Florenzano (2008) e Rehbein (2011). Foram feitos as delimitações das feições de relevo da área de influência do Escudo Sul-Rio-Grandense no município de Pelotas; também a caracterização dos dados morfogenéticos e morfocronológicos; a caracterização e representação cartográfica dos dados morfológicos (morfométricos e morfográficos) e a caracterização das morfodinâmicas do relevo. De modo a atender os objetivos destacados realizaram-se revisões bibliográficas para compreensão do quadro genético-evolutivo do relevo da área de estudos. Também destacam-se a organização de um banco de dados de cartografia de base, necessário à elaboração dos produtos cartográficos, bem como, à elaboração do mapa de usos e coberturas da terra. Por fim, através de trabalhos de campo, foram identificadas e caracterizadas as morfodinâmicas do relevo. Assim, constatou-se que predominam na área de estudo padrões em morros e planícies alveolares, destacando-se também o mapeamento de 1587 cabeceiras de drenagens. Aspecto relevante a destacar, são os processos erosivos laminares de ocorrência sobre os morros e morrotes, predominantemente. Observou-se também o assoreamento dos canais fluviais em consequência da queda de taludes de margens fluviais desprovidas de vegetação ciliar. Por fim, considera-se a presente pesquisa, um recurso para alertar a comunidade local sobre os impactos ambientais que os cercam, além de servir de base para políticas de planejamento. Além disso, espera-se dessa pesquisa pelos produtos produzidos, contribuir com os estabelecimentos de ensino do município de Pelotas e região, fornecendo informações mais detalhadas da geomorfologia local
