The aim of the present study involves the biosorption of Pb (II) by using the leaves Araucaria cookii from aqueous solution and industrial effluent. The batch studies were performed to evaluate the different parameters like pH, contact time, metal ion concentration, adsorbent mass and size variation. Characterization of biosorbent was carried out by Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR) and Scanning Electron Micrograph (SEM). Experimental results shows that at pH 5 the biosorption efficiency reached a maximum removal of 98.52 with a contact time of 60 min and an initial ion concentration 200 mg/L.
