The present paper examines the pattern of multiple authorship in five select biotechnology journals for the period of 2003-2012. The paper also examines the country-wise, institute-wise contribution across the geographical distribution, determining the number of authors per paper in biotechnology. The data from five biotechnology journals for the period of ten years collected was 10372. The results show the dominance in multi- authored articles 95.10% over single authored articles with 4.89%. The degree of collaboration is 0.95, along with Indian research output of 5.18%
