The incidence of four somatoscopic traits-tongue pigmentation, dental occlusion, digital formulae,toe formulae and leg folding were studied among the Adikarnatakas of Mysore city of Karnataka State. The data consists of 259 males and 221 females. Adikarnataka population shows higher proportion of tongue pigmentation in the males (38.99%) than in the females (9.95%) with highly significant sex difference. Moreover the spots are more common than patches in the form of tongue pigmentation.
