The silkworm B. mori is a multicellular organism revealing genetic resources which makes an ideal model for lepidoptera for the present investigation. With the objective of targeting distinctive markers for utilization in future breeding programmes, Bivoltine and Polyvoltine silkworm strains were used by inter-simple sequence repeats (ISSR) and random amplified polymorphic-DNA (RAPD) fingerprinting to detect their genetic versatility and volatility.
