A new Wall Current Monitor is planned to be installed in the PS during the Year-End Technical Stop 2021-2022 to install a Beam Quality Monitor in the PS, like in the SPS. In this note we present recent developments and ideas that could be considered to improve longitudinal beam observation in the PS, using synergies with other developments done in the RF/FB section. These could allow to increase the amount of available data but also to provide with live bunch length analysis
