Secondary education in France and in England : Two distinct traditions. The French and the English systems of secondary education are deeply different from each other in almost every respect. Their organisation, as well as the spirit of the education given to the children, reflect fundamental differences in the national historical and cultural heritages which the two systems contribute to comfort.
