This report reviews my research activities conducted while present and working as Distinguished Visiting Professor at the Solid State Physics and Chemistry (SSPC) Laboratory in the Division of Chemistry financed by the International Research Unit of Advanced Future Studies at Kyoto University. The key interest of my research is on emerging novel quantum phases and quantum critical phenomena in strongly frustrated quantum magnets, especially in low dimensional metal oxides and intermetallic compounds.
