Il rap di Fabri Fibra

This paper analyses some texts by Italian singer Fabrizio Tarducci, aka Fabri Fibra. For the purposes of this study, Fabri Fibra’s songs are divided into two groups: albums from 2002 to 2007, corresponding to his underground period, and those recorded between 2009 and 2015, corresponding to his mainstream period. Songs from the two periods are compared and contrasted to identify differences, if any. The analysis focuses on lexical choices, rhymes, rhetorical figures and language varieties.
