Recent art history has experienced a proliferation of e-journals; at the same time, the acceptance of e-journals within the academia is still rather low compared to print publications. In part, this may simply reflect challenges any new journal inevitably faces, irrespective of its medium: after all, e-journals are usually2 new journals whereas the relevant print journals are generally well established.
