Uma análise do desempenho econômico e financeiro das cooperativas agropecuárias

This research aims to verify if variables such as sector, agroindustrial system and region are related to the economic and financial performance of agricultural cooperatives. For that, we used mean difference tests in the data of 31 agricultural cooperatives in the states of São Paulo, Paraná, Santa Catarina and Rio Grande do Sul in the years 2008 to 2012. As a result, it was observed that cooperatives perform Economic and financial variables, and that the selected variables may affect their results. When the sample was stratified by region, the indices of profitability, value added and general liquidity showed a significant difference. When the sector is analyzed the statistical differences are found in the indexes of value added, which is in agreement with the literature. The agroindustrial system was the factor that led to greater differences in the indices analyzed. In addition, it was verified that the cooperatives are homogeneous with respect to the capital structure.Esta pesquisa tem como objetivo verificar se variáveis como setor, sistema agroindustrial e região estão relacionadas com o desempenho econômico e financeiro das cooperativas agropecuárias. Para tanto, empregou-se testes de diferença de médias nos dados de 31 cooperativas agropecuárias dos estados de São Paulo, Paraná, Santa Catarina e Rio Grande do Sul nos anos de 2008 a 2012. Como resultado, observou-se que as cooperativas apresentam desempenho econômico e financeiro distintos, e que as variáveis selecionadas podem afetar seus resultados. Quando a amostra foi estratificada por região os índices de rentabilidade, valor adicionado e liquidez geral demonstraram diferença significativa. Já quando o setor é analisado as diferenças estatísticas encontram-se nos índices de valor adicionado, o que está de acordo com a literatura. O sistema agroindustrial foi o fator que levou a maiores diferenças dos índices analisados. Ademais, verificou-se que as cooperativas são homogêneas no que se refere a estrutura de capital
