In this work, a psychomotor conception of infatile developmentis presented and its theorical bases are briefley discussed. Afterwardsthe syndrome of autism, its controversial theories and conceptualdifficulties are analysed. The authoress characterizes autism as apeculiar difficulty in communication "being-world" and from this perspectivethe importance of psychomotricity to the comprehension of some generalaspects of the psychological development of a child, in particular infatileautism, is stressed. Finally, the contribution of this approach to thepsychotherapy of an autistic child is emphasized, as a means to reorganizehis self-image, as well as define his identity, an essential condition tohis psychomotor development.Neste trabalho apres...
