The contributions of different authors that di rectly orindirectly influenced the behaviorist philosophy are being consideredhere. The work of Galileu (scientific methodology). Popper(dedutive method and demarcation criterion), Carnap (physicistlanguage) e Hume (notion of cause) are discussed. Since the wordbehaviorism carries various meanings, a differentiation betweenthe methaphysical, methodological and analytical behaviorism ispresented.
