The objective of the present study was to determine theidentity conflicts revealed by the projective techniques HTP, Pfister,Rorschach and Desiderative applied to ten adult male and femalepatients from the Psychiatric Outpatient Clinic of the UniversityHospital, Faculty of Medicine of Ribeirão Preto, USP, who exhibitedclinical signs of identity conflicts expressed as sexual and familyproblems and as difficulties in relating to others, with signs of impairedself-esteem. The protocols for each technique were first evaluated, withemphasis on indices corresponding to identity conflicts, and later definedand systematized.
