O fortalecimento da extensão no campo científico:: uma análise dos editais ProExt/MEC

The present article proposes the analysis of the strengthening of university extension in the scientific field. In order to do so, it departs from the main national extension notice: ProExt - University Extension Program - a partnership between the Ministry of Education (MEC), the Ministry of Culture (MinC) and the Pro-Rectors Forum Extension of the Brazilian Public Universities (Forproex). More specifically, the results of the mentioned notice between 2009 and 2016 (with the exception of 2012). The text begins with a brief contextualization of university extension in the country, from its appearance in the 1930s to the year 2016. Besides, it focuses on the distribution of resources between research lines, regions of the country and types of institutions, the growth and decline of the amount destined to the notice, among other topics obtained through the ProExt / MEC results. Finally, the article discusses the collected data using theories of authors such as Pierre Bourdieu, Renato Dagnino and Luciana Maria Cerqueira Castro, who draw relevant and necessary reflections to understand the effective meanings of the 376% growth in investment in projects of extension since the year 2008 in Brazil.O presente artigo traz como proposta a análise do fortalecimento da extensão universitária no campo científico. Para tanto, parte-se do principal edital de fomento à extensão em âmbito nacional: o Programa de Extensão Universitária (ProExt) - parceria entre o Ministério da Educação (MEC), o Ministério da Cultura (MinC) e o Fórum de Pró-Reitores de Extensão das Universidades Públicas Brasileiras (Forproex); mais especificamente, os resultados do referido edital entre os anos de 2009 e 2016 (a exceção de 2012). O texto tem início com breve contextualização acerca dos percursos da extensão universitária no país, desde seu surgimento na década de 1930 até o ano de 2016. Posteriormente, são observados pontos como a distribuição dos recursos entre as linhas de pesquisa, as regiões do país e os tipos de instituições, o crescimento e declínio do montante destinado ao edital, entre outros tópicos obtidos por meio dos resultados dos editais ProExt/MEC. Por fim, a busca foi pela análise das informações apreendidas tomando por subsídio a teoria de autores como Pierre Bourdieu, Renato Dagnino e Luciana Maria Cerqueira Castro, que traçam reflexões pertinentes e necessárias à compreensão dos efetivos significados do crescimento de 376% no investimento em projetos de extensão, desde o ano de 2008 no Brasil
