In recent decades, with the neoliberal hegemony development, Marxism has been losing importance in academic circles. One of the way that dominant sectors ideologues have ousted Marxism was by playing a vulgarized same vision of reducing him to an economic ´s theory determination. In this paper we propose to recover the three referents of Marxism (Gramsci, Thompson and Williams) thoughts who have subscribed to a critical perspective within the same emphasis on cultural studies.
