To investigate the perception about palliative care of family caregivers of elderly people on cancer treatment enrolled in a Cancer Combat Association. Methodology: Field research, descriptive, crosssectional, qualitative approach, through semi-structured interviews, which were transcribed and categorized. Results: six categories were identified that demonstrate that caregivers, although not very knowledgeable about palliative care, practice them in a variety of dimensions, either by providing a healthy diet, by performing adequate hygiene, by seeking pain relief, and by maintaining attention and care for Medication.
