In this paper we investigate the relationship between predicates and properties. On the one hand, we try to show the failure of the concept of agreement in which the primary function of a predicate is to denote a property. On the other hand, we differentiate between the criterion of use and the applicability conditions of a predicate, i.e., the conditions which the object must fulfill in order to correctly apply the predicate to it.
