This article is an abbreviated narrative of my doctoral process, which consisted of listening, mediated by narrative and non-directive interviews, the experiences lived by Visual Arts Teachers in relation to the special objects that inhabit their homes. Because all knowledge is self-knowledge, by hearing these narratives, I also recalled some experiences lived by myself, related especially with objects that inhabited the houses where I lived and that shaped me as the Visual Arts Teacher I am today.
