Procesos formativos en el fútbol prebenjamí­n: El paso de la ingenuidad a la institucionalización

Under 6s football competition is a school sport that has inherent educational implications. Moreover, it is a booming non-formal socio-educational framework where families and children lay training expectations and dreams. The aim is to comprehend the emerging learning processes promoted in this environment for 6 years-old children, when the child starts the institutionalization process in the ruled sport. The research uses a case study design, the ethnographic mode, through participant observation. It uses the narrative and image data to understand the scenario from the perspective of its builder. The results show that the institutionalization process starts from the ingenuity and lack of understanding of the child, who develops training processes in a prescriptive environment, where the competitive performance of the team is pursued. Promoting certain types of learning which the participant himself consciously considers inappropriate undertakes the presence of different kinds of behaviour, which go against the positive values usually attributed to football. The study claims for the necessity of taking advantage of the training opportunities which football offers to children such as the enhancing of creativity, self-efficacy and self-esteem.El fútbol prebenjamí­n, como deporte escolar, posee un compromiso implí­cito con la educación como escenario no formal socioconstruido en expansión sobre el que familias y niños depositan ilusiones y expectativas formativas. El objetivo del estudio es comprender los procesos formativos emergentes que se promueven en este ambiente para los niños de seis años, cuando emprenden la senda la institucionalización en el deporte reglado. La investigación utiliza un diseño de estudio de caso modalidad etnográfica mediante la observación participante, que se vale del dato narrativo y en la imagen a fin de atender el escenario desde la mirada de su constructor. Se destaca que el proceso de institucionalización parte desde la ingenuidad e incomprensión del niño que desarrolla procesos formativos en un ambiente eminentemente prescriptivo donde se persigue el rendimiento competitivo del equipo. La promoción de ciertos aprendizajes que el propio participante conscientemente considera inadecuados conlleva la manifestación de conductas que pueden confrontar con los ideales atribuidos al fútbol. El estudio revindica la optimización de las oportunidades formativas que ofrece el fútbol para el niño, como son el fomento de creatividad, autoeficacia y autoestima
